A Don't Miss Weekend in Port A!
Our Parrrot Head Club has had a very successful 2016. Thanks to everyone who participated or donated to the club activities. We like to keep our donations local and help our small community. In January we donated $250 to a local student to attend the National Choir in Washington, DC. In March our Spring Pfling raised $3200 for the Port Aransas Food Pantry. In July we donated $100 to the Youth Development Foundation. Mid-year we were able to report 3025 Volunteer Hours to charties. In addition, we donated $200 to the Port A Police Department Association Golf Tournament. We topped off the year with $10,500 raised during our fall "Wings Over Port A" fund raiser which was split with the Port A Community Theatre, VFW and Animal Rehabilitation Keep. Christmas donations included $358 to EMS Toy Drive, $300 to VFW Care & Share. Total money donated in 2016 was $14,908.
We look forward to continuing to help our community with many fun events in 2017. Check out our calendar for an updated listing of all our Parrot Head Pfun.
